Today in celebration of the fact that I don't have school either today or tomorrow, we're going to talk about festivities and those dates that one doesn't have to work or go to school, but not quite in that light, in a different one that shows my current possition on such dates.
The "light" in which I see it that I'm speaking about is the simple fact that one gets these days off but never really know why or questions it because we don't really care, for example I think I was told that these days I got off were because of mexican labour day, today I see everybody on facebook proclaiming "¡Feliz dia del niño!", which roughly translates to "happy childrens' day".
Now, do I really care why I got these days off? No, does anyone else? not really; Of course on the other hand if they decided not to give us these holidays we'd all get up in arms and start riots and burn flipped over cars, because we're hipocritical that way.
Either way, if theres one thing I wish would've been done differently is that we got thursay and friday off instead of monday and tuesday, because it's not nice to go see the opening of the avengers which began at midnight and then have to go to school early in the morning, I know many other countries begin school a little later, but here in Mexico it's at 7:30 A.M. if you're lucky
